SNHPA Endorses Apexus' Bid to Continue as PVP
SNHPA has sent a letter to the Health Resources and Services Administration, endorsing Apexus' bid to continue in its role as the 340B Prime Vendor for the next five years.
HRSA has solicited bids from organizations interested in serving as the Prime Vendor from September 2009 through September 2014. Proposals were due April 20.
In its letter of support, SNHPA said it was impressed with Apexus' ability to take a greatly under-utilized resource and grow it into a program in just five years that "provides significant value to 340B-covered entities, including SNHPA's members."
SNHPA commended Apexus for building a program that offers its members better distribution services, 340B sub-ceiling pricing opportunities, and other value-added services. SNHPA also applauded Apexus' record of negotiating discounts on non-340B products, including diabetic supplies, vaccines, outpatient pharmacy automation services, and software.
Finally, SNHPA noted that over the last several months, Apexus has reached out to strengthen its collaborative relationships with SNHPA and other groups that represent 340B-covered entities. SNHPA told HRSA it appreciates those efforts and that it looks forward to working with the Prime Vendor in continuing to engage stakeholders on issues of importance. To see the letter, click here.
