Jim Mitchell and William Gouveia Honored at APhA Annual Meeting

 

 

PHPC would like to congratulate two friends of the Coalition on being honored last week at the annual meeting of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) for their contributions to the pharmacy profession.

 

OPA Director Jim Mitchell received the organization's 2005 Distinguished Achievement Award in Administrative Practice. Among APhA's most prestigious honors, the award “recognizes the achievements of an individual who has made a significant contribution or sustained contributions to the provision of pharmaceutical care within administrative practice.” Click here for APhA's press release on this award.

 

Also receiving an award for hospital pharmacy at APhA’s annual conference this year was William Gouveia, Pharmacy Director at Tufts-New England Medical Center.  William's award honors his "significant contributions to pharmaceutical care within a hospital and institutional setting."  Tufts-New England is a member of PHPC.
