Merck Settlement with Government to Result in Millions for 340B Providers
In one of the biggest health care fraud settlements in history, Merck & Co., Inc.
agreed to a $671 million settlement with federal and state authorities to resolve two
whistle-blower investigations into the alleged miscalculation of Medicaid rebates and
improper marketing activities. The settlement will result in over $9 million in refunds to
providers in the 340B drug discount program.
