Karin Rives is the editor and staff writer at Safety Net Hospitals for Pharmaceutical Access, an organization of more than 400 hospitals participating in the 340B drug discount program. Karin is responsible for SNHPA’s monthly newsletter, the highly respected and widely circulated Federal Drug Discount and Compliance Monitor, and for the organization’s members-only electronic news bulletin. She also writes and edits content for SNHPA’s Web site and various other SNHPA publications.
Karin has nearly 15 years under her belt as a journalist at newspapers in Massachusetts, Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina, where she focused primarily on business news. She has also worked as an online marketing editor in Europe and as an overseas correspondent for Newsweek, Christian Science Monitor, and other U.S. news outlets, covering health, policy and environmental topics.
Karin brings Web and new media experience to the job, along with her love for writing and passion for politics. She holds a Master’s degree in journalism from Northeastern University, and an undergraduate degree in political history from Stockholm University. |
