Mike Hess is the Director of IT and Conferences at Safety Net Hospitals for Pharmaceutical Access, an organization of over 400 disproportionate share hospitals and health systems that participate in the Public Health Service 340B drug discount program. His responsibilities include all technology needs such as network and phone services, Web site design and development, maintenance and creation of databases, and assistance with SNHPA's drug pricing analyses and studies. He also plays a key role in helping to plan various SNHPA conferences including the 340B Coalition's Annual Conference on Improving Access to Pharmaceutical Care Ensuring Compliance with Federal and State Laws.
Prior to joining SNHPA, Mr. Hess was a project coordinator in the Conference and Project Management Practice Area of Health Systems Research, Inc. (HSR), a public health research and consulting firm. Mr. Hess served as the lead coordinator of administrative and logistical tasks associated with a number of conferences hosted by clients such as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Department of Labor, SNHPA, and others. Mr. Hess also served as the lead technical coordinator for the Maternal and Child Health Information Resource Center's DataSpeak Webcast series. He was also responsible for Web page development and database management.
Mr. Hess received a B.S. cum laude in Management Information Systems and Marketing Management from Syracuse University.
